Which to work on…which to work on?

This is the first of 2 Marcelle Medallions I have in the hopper.  I tried to limit myself to work mostly with low volumes on this one...succeeded somewhat, but not entirely.  I am hand quilting this one.  My goal is February...we shall see. I've not been able to endear myself to the outer border of that pattern by Alexis Abegg in her book, Libery Love.  I was hoping it would grow on my by the time I got to it, but it didn't.  So I chose to add the 'square in a square' border.

Below, we have MM#2, definitely not low volume!  Once I got going, and liked it more and more, I decided to go all out for king size and use it on our bed.  Living in Taos, I've really had fun trying to incorporate as many Terrie Mangat fabrics.  Terrie is an artist in Taos, and her work is beautiful.

The following pictures are of a small project I work on when I need a break from Marcelle.  It'll be a baby quilt, back to all low volumes fabrics.  This is 100% scraps (yey), 6" blocks on point. You can see in the B&W photo that some blocks are not at all low volume and need to be switched out for some lighter fabrics.
